The Winding Path

LIFE IS LIKE A WINDING PATH

A POEM FROM “THE CHILL TURNED WARM”

Life is like a winding path.

If you zig when you’re supposed to zag,

tongues will wag.

Let them talk.

I’ll take the path I want to walk.

As long as I have true friends who stay,

only God can tell me I’m going the wrong way.

The path changes directions

just like you might have to make corrections.

As long as it leads you back to the cross,

because the blood of Jesus was the cost.

He left us the Holy Spirit

to guide, comfort , and interpret.

As long as you remember that,

you’re on the right path.
