Nancy’s Travel 2014
We spent most of the five days on Swans Island driving or walking around taking photographs. The island has a population of 351. There are three villages on the island. This time of year there were no restaurants open. The only wildlife we saw were deer. Jane told us a moose swam over, but it was in someone’s freezer now. They told us there were no bears, and I believed them. There seemed to be very few birds, unless they are particularly adept at hiding. We have been so lucky with the weather. Even when the skies were gray, we had mild temperatures and periods of sunshine. They had a library, with limited hours. Betty went twice but I stayed with my camera. It was so peaceful and beautiful. Here are 20 random shots I took over the five days we were there.
